Feedback for Second Class (Mon 22 Sep)

Excellent class. It's amazing how the class stays focused given the late hour, most of my other classes are in the morning and still a 1/4 of the class seem to be asleep.

Excellent use of real world examples.

Very good specifics on what is expected in the market plan.

News has spread, the class has grown.

Only issue I have is trying to get to class on time as I have Chines class right before and with the construction it is hard to make it in the 20 min we have to get to class. There are 4 of us with this problem as we are all taking the Chines class together. I will ask the Chines teacher if she can let us out 5 min earlier. This might solve the issue.

Feedback for First Class (Mon 15 Sep)

This was an excellent first class. Here are the pro's and con's for the class:

Pros:

1. What impressed me was that you were the only Professor that was prepared and actually taught a class on the first day! No other professor all week had the first class prepared.

2. The fact that you actually work in the field that you teach is very impressive. You know the real world and are not stuck in academia. Students will listen more to someone that has real life experience in the field.

3. Excellent first assignment, you get to know us, we get to look up what a marketing plan is, and we get to talk about our favorite subject ourself s!

Cons:

1. Not many here, lets see if I can find one, ah OK, maybe if you had your blog up we could have learned a little more about you, thats about it.

Overall Rating for first class:

Excellent : 97 %

1.0 Executive Summary

Kieran Ryan is a first year IMBA student at National Tsing Hua University currently enrolled in Professor Wang's Marketing class. He is a strong willed student who is very enthusiastic about the class and is expecting to perform well. Professor Wang will be Kieran Ryan's sole customer. Although Kieran is enrolled in other classes and expects to perform well in those classes, they will not be targeted in this Marketing Plan, they will be dealt with separately and be given a lower priority.

Mr. Ryan will meet all minimum demands of a top performing student. He will have perfect attendance, be prepared in advanced for each class, turn in assignments on time, participate in all classes, be well prepared for presentations.

In addition, as a past lecturer, he will be available to assist the professor by helping with feedback and by creating effective communication channels between the class and Professor Wang.

The marketing plan will be implemented over18 weeks, with a goal of convincing Professor Wang that Kieran is a top student and deserves an A in the class.

2.0 Situation Analysis

Kieran is entering the market with 13 competitors all of who are also competing for a limited number of A's in the Marketing class. In order to accomplish his goal Kieran needs to market himself better than his competitors. He aims to accomplish this by being a professional student and also by assuring that two way communication exist between the professor and the class.

2.1 Market Summary

The market in this case is Professor Wang. Kieran has limited information about Mr. Wang. With further information about the Professor, what his expectations of a top student are, and what Marketing topics interest him most, Kieran can tailor his product to make it more interesting to the professor and thus more likely to score a higher grade in the course.
